Strawberry Tiramisu Recipe

This strawberry tiramisu recipe to bring together two of my favorite things—strawberries and the classic Italian dessert, tiramisu. It’s indulgent yet refreshing, and it’s sure to impress everyone who tries it.

Why This Recipe Stands Out

As someone who’s obsessed with tiramisu (it’s in my top 3 desserts of all time!).

I’ve shared many different versions, and they’ve all been a hit! Here are some of the tiramisu recipes I’ve posted:

I’ve even made Tiramisu Cookies, which are a fun portable version of this beloved dessert!

But today, I’m excited to share my Strawberry Tiramisu.strawberry tiramisu 2strawberry tiramisu 4

This Tiramisu holds a special place because it’s:

  • No coffee or alcohol—perfect for kids and non-coffee lovers.
  • Eggless (like my Matcha and Eggless Tiramisu versions).
  • Simple ingredients, yet the flavor is unreal—sweet, tangy, and creamy. No-bake—just layer, chill, and devour!
  • The secret? A homemade strawberry jam that adds a juicy, vibrant punch. And instead of espresso-dipped ladyfingers, we use milk for a milder, kid-approved base. Trust me, this dessert disappears FAST in my house!strawberry tiramisu 3

Strawberry Jam

The strawberry jam is key to this recipe. It’s what gives the tiramisu its fresh, fruity flavor. I always use homemade strawberry jam because it’s free from preservatives and allows me to control the sweetness.

When you prepare the strawberry jam for this recipe, don’t forget to set aside a little bit for garnishing the top of the tiramisu!

Homemade Ladyfingers

Ladyfingers are an essential part of any tiramisu, providing the perfect texture that soaks up the filling while maintaining a slight firmness.

For this recipe, I had some leftover homemade ladyfingers, so I used them. If you have some extra time, I highly recommend following my homemade ladyfingers recipe. They’re easy to make and taste so much better than store-bought!

In traditional tiramisu, the ladyfingers are soaked in espresso.

However, for this Strawberry Tiramisu, I opted for milk instead. Milk provides a more neutral base that complements the strawberry and mascarpone filling.

That said, if you do have espresso on hand, feel free to use it! Just dip the ladyfingers quickly into the milk (or espresso), making sure they absorb enough liquid to soften but not become soggy.

You want them to hold their structure and texture, so don’t soak them for too long.

Ingredients

(A) Strawberry Jam

  • 500g strawberries: Choose fresh, vibrant strawberries with a strong fragrance for a more authentic flavor.
  • 100g sugar: Adjust based on the sweetness of your strawberries. Add more for a sweeter jam.
  • ½ lemon: Squeeze for juice to balance the sweetness and preserve the jam’s color.

(B) Tiramisu Filling

  • 250g mascarpone cheese: The key ingredient in tiramisu, giving it a rich, creamy texture.
  • 15g sugar: Sweetens the mascarpone filling to enhance the overall flavor.
  • 250g heavy cream: This adds lightness and fluffiness to the filling.

(C) Others

  • 200g ladyfingers: Soaked in milk, they provide a soft, absorbent base for the tiramisu.
  • 250g milk: This is used to soak the ladyfingers and soften them for better flavor absorption.
  • Fresh strawberries (for decoration): Choose beautiful, fresh strawberries for a visually appealing garnish.
  • 7 blueberries (optional): For added decoration and a pop of color.

Instructions

(A) Strawberry Jam Preparation

Follow my step-by-step guide to make the strawberry jam. Don’t forget to reserve some strawberries for garnish.

(B) Tiramisu Filling Preparation

Prep the Mascarpone: Take the mascarpone cheese out of the fridge and let it soften at room temperature for 30-60 minutes. This will make it easier to mix smoothly.

Mix the Mascarpone: In a bowl, combine the softened mascarpone with the 15g of sugar. Stir with a spatula until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.

Whip the Cream: In a separate, clean bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Use a hand mixer to beat the cream on medium speed until soft peaks form. This should take just a few minutes. Be careful not to over-whip the cream.

Combine: Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until it is well incorporated and smooth. Transfer the tiramisu filling to a piping bag for easy assembly.tiramisu filling preparation

(C) Assembling the Tiramisu

Prepare the Container: Choose a suitable container for your tiramisu, such as a glass dish, ceramic bowl, or mousse mold. Make sure it’s clean and dry.

Soak the Ladyfingers: Pour the milk into a shallow dish. Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the milk, ensuring they absorb it but don’t soak too long.

Layer the Ladyfingers: Arrange the soaked ladyfingers in an even layer at the bottom of the container.

Add Strawberry Jam: Spread an even layer of the cooled strawberry jam over the ladyfingers.

Add the Tiramisu Filling: Pipe or spoon a layer of the tiramisu filling over the jam, smoothing it evenly with a spatula.

Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers, then top with another layer of tiramisu filling. Smooth the filling evenly.

Refrigerate: Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight. This allows the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set properly.assembling the tiramisuassembling the tiramisu2

For the best results, refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 6 hours, but overnight is ideal. This allows all the flavors to meld together and the dessert to firm up properly.
