Quick and Easy Air Fryer Mantou Recipe

This air fryer mantou is quick, easy, and ready in just 20 minutes! It's a much healthier alternative to traditional fried mantou, requiring only a light spray of oil to achieve that irresistibly crispy golden crust.

Ingredients

  • 3 mantou
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml milk
  • Appropriate cooking oil for spraying
  • Condensed milk as desired

Instructions

Prepare the Mantou

  • Cut 3 mantou into even slices and then into small cubes. Set them aside for later use.

Make the Egg-Milk Mixture

  • Crack 2 eggs into a bowl, pour in 100ml milk, and whisk until fully combined.

Coat the Mantou

  • Place the mantou cubes into a bowl and pour the egg-milk mixture over them. Toss gently with chopsticks to ensure every piece is coated evenly.

Arrange in the Air Fryer

  • Place the coated mantou cubes into the air fryer basket, spreading them out evenly to prevent overcrowding.

Spray with Oil

  • Use a cooking oil spray to lightly coat the mantou cubes.

Cook in the Air Fryer

  • Set the air fryer to 180°C–200°C (356°F–392°F) and cook for 10–15 minutes. Flip the mantou cubes halfway through for even crisping.

Serve

  • Once done, remove the mantou cubes from the air fryer, plate them, and drizzle with condensed milk according to your taste.
