Ingredients

  • 250 g heavy cream
  • 150 g milk
  • 30 g sugar
  • 6 g gelatin sheets
  • 300 g strawberries divided: some for jam, others halved for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Panna Cotta Base

  • Pour 250g heavy cream and 150g milk into a saucepan. Add 30g sugar.
  • Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar. Heat until it reaches approximately 50°C.
  • Soak 6g gelatin sheets in cold water for 5–10 minutes until softened.
  • Once softened, remove the gelatin sheets, drain the water, and add them to the warm milk mixture. Stir until completely dissolved.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to ensure smoothness, then pour it into serving containers.
  • Let the containers cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 4 hours or until fully set.

Make the Strawberry Jam

  • Follow my Homemade Strawberry Filling for Cakes recipe for the strawberry jam. Wash some strawberries and slice them in half to prepare for garnishing.

Assemble the Dessert

  • Remove the chilled panna cotta from the fridge.
  • Carefully spoon the strawberry jam over the set panna cotta.
